PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - The suspect in the fatal shooting of a Providence man last week turned himself in Monday, police said.

Dontay McNeill, 19, of Woonsocket, faced a murder warrant in the death last Tuesday of Manee Castillo in Providence, Maj. David Lapatin said.

Police have said the shooting was sparked by some sort of argument that involved several people. Castillo, 20, was taken to Rhode Island Hospital by family members where he was later pronounced dead.

He was the city’s fifth homicide victim of the year.

McNeill was held without bail on murder and weapons charges at his arraignment Monday. He did not enter a plea. There was no answer at a listed number for his attorney.
