SIERRA VISTA, Ariz. (AP) - A Sierra Vista man has been arrested on multiple charges in connection with a domestic violence incident last weekend that led to the discovery of stolen items, according to police.

They said 55-year-old Robert Makowski was taken into custody after a brief police pursuit Sunday.

He reportedly fled the initial scene of the domestic violence incident before officers arrived.

Police said Makowski initially was accused of weapons misconduct, domestic violence and threatening and intimidating, discharging a firearm, felony flight and DUI.

Police served a search warrant at Makowski’s home and reported finding numerous high-value items previously reported stolen.

They said at least four theft cases with property stolen valued over $75,000 may be resolved as a result of the investigation into the domestic violence incident.

Police said additional charges against Makowski are pending the complete identification of property recovered from his residence.

It was unclear Tuesday if Makowski had a lawyer yet who could speak on his behalf.
