PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Authorities on Wednesday were searching for a suspect after someone set fire to a police car outside a police station.

The vehicle was unoccupied and parked outside the 3rd District station.

The front panel on the passenger side of the vehicle was charred and the tires were slashed, WPVI-TV reported.

There were no reports of injuries.

Witnesses said someone rode away from the area on a bicycle, officials said.

The incident occurred nearly a week after two of the city’s police cars were vandalized with spray paint and nearly a month after four police vehicles were torched.

The investigation was ongoing.
