OPINION:
During the 2020 Democratic National Convention, five Republicans crossed the aisle to speak and endorse Joe Biden for president: John Kasich, Susan Molinari, Colin Powell, Christine Whitman and Meg Whitman. Mr. Biden promised that if elected president he would have the most diverse cabinet and administration in history, representing the gorgeous American mosaic. He also promised to appoint the first female African-American Supreme Court justice.
Republicans represent a significant portion of America. How many of them will be invited to serve in Mr. Biden’s Cabinet and administration? Will any of these five Republicans be offered a job in a Biden White House? Will Mr. Biden make a public commitment on this issue of inclusion for Republicans prior to Election Day? Voters want to know.
