NEW YORK (AP) - A flurry of gunshots killed a man and wounded three other people early Sunday morning in New York City’s Coney Island, only hours after another man was shot to death a few blocks away, city police said.
The gunfire was reported just after 2 a.m. on West 23rd Street, where police found at least 20 bullet casings. Kadeem Street, 27, was pronounced dead at a local hospital, while three other men suffered serious injuries.
The men were shot about two blocks away from where 20-year-old Fabian Abney was killed in another shooting on Saturday afternoon.
No arrests have been made in either shooting, and it wasn’t clear whether they were related.
Street and Abney were among seven people killed and several others wounded in shootings across the city since Friday, according to police. One of the victims, mother-of-three Priscilla Vasquez, 25, was shot to death in the Bronx early Saturday morning.
