BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - Authorities said they’ve arrested a suspect accused of fatally shooting a man who was found dead inside a car on Interstate 65 last week.
Antonio Quintez Davis, 33, was charged Wednesday with capital murder in the death of Condorius Sanchez Williams, AL.Com reported.
Birmingham police Sgt. Rod Mauldin said officers found Williams suffering from a gunshot wound inside a vehicle on Aug. 10, after responding to a car crash on the northbound side of the I-65.
Williams was pronounced dead at the scene.
It’s unclear how police connected Davis to the shooting. According to jail records, Davis was charged with capital murder because Williams was killed in a drive-by shooting.
It’s unclear whether Davis had an attorney who could comment on his behalf.
