RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) - A teenager was found dead in a vehicle outside a fast-food restaurant, which police in North Carolina’s capital city said on Sunday they’re treating as a homicide.

Raleigh officers arrived at the parking lot of a Bojangles restaurant near Garner and close to Interstate 40 on Saturday evening, media outlets reported.

The youth, identified as Veronica Lee Baker, 17, of Raleigh, was declared dead at the scene, the Raleigh Police Department said in a news release.

The news release didn’t explain how she died and asks the public for information about what happened.
