LAS VEGAS (AP) - Two adults and a child were killed when their car collided with a pickup truck pulling an off-road vehicle on a Las Vegas freeway, authorities said.

A man driving the truck and his 4-year-old daughter were uninjured and were able to get out of their vehicle before it caught fire and burned after the crash on Interstate 15 on Thursday.

A Nevada Highway Patrol spokesman said the car made a sudden lane change and hit a roadside cushion before colliding with the pickup.

A third vehicle also was involved. It struck the off-road vehicle that separated from the pickup after the initial collision. Nobody in the third vehicle was injured.

No identities were released.
