James Carville of former President Bill Clinton’s famous “War Room” says the 2020 presidential election features Republicans who will literally “kill people” to secure victory for President Trump.

The “Ragin’ Cajun” told MSNBC viewers on Wednesday that former Vice President Joseph R. Biden’s campaign is in a “commanding position” despite opposition that is ready to “kill.”

“They will kill people to stay in power. Literally,” the Democratic strategist after referencing the Wisconsin Supreme Court’s ruling for Tuesday’s election, which negated a last-minute effort by the state’s governor to suspend in-person voting during the coronavirus pandemic.

Judges handed down a 4-2 ruling on Monday that Democratic Gov. Tony Evers lacked the authority to unilaterally make such a decision.

Fox News noted on Tuesday that Mr. Evers previously agreed with the court’s rationale, saying “he didn’t have the authority to move the date — but on Monday he signed an executive order that would have pushed in-person voting for the April 7 contest to June 9.”

Mr. Carville, however, saw the outcome as proof of Republican blood lust.

“All the Republicans admit it — we can’t win if everybody votes,” Mr. Carville said. “My kind of mission here in the short term is to sound the alarm to say Mitch McConnell and the Supreme Court, they’re going to do everything they can to hold on to power and Speaker [Nancy] Pelosi and Leader [Charles E.] Schumer, we’ve got to dig in and make sure states have funding to conduct these elections and to put pressure on them to make sure they’re done fairly.”
