OCALA, Fla. (AP) - A North Dakota man crashed into a Florida Highway Patrol vehicle Monday night on Interstate 75, authorities said.
A patrol car occupied by two troopers was parked on the paved median emergency lane of northbound I-75 near Ocala when Feston Senganidzojasi, 38, veered left off the roadway and crashed into it, according to and FHP report. The patrol car spun around and hit a guardrail twice.
Senganidzojasi was taken to a nearby hospital with critical injuries, officials said.
The troopers, ages 50 and 21, were hospitalized with minor injuries.
The FHP report listed alcohol as a factor in the crash, but no charges were immediately filed.
Both vehicles were totally destroyed during the crash, investigators said.
