HUDSON, N.H. (AP) - A New Hampshire man faces DUI charges after crashing his car and causing serious injury to his passenger.

State police say 24-year-old Zachary Nardini, of Windham, was driving his pickup trick in Hudson near the Massachusetts state line when he veered off the road and struck a telephone pole at around 2 a.m. on Saturday.

The crash crushed the passenger side of his truck, causing serious injuries to 23-year-old Chantal Gora, of Hudson. She was rushed to Southern New Hampshire Medical Center in Nashua and is expected to recover.

Nardini, who was uninjured, was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated and will be arraigned May 7 in Hillsborough County Superior Court. It couldn’t be immediately determined if he has a lawyer.
