CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning for much of West Virginia through the start of Wednesday.
The hazardous weather outlook will be in effect from 2 a.m. to 10 a.m. throughout most of the state.
Temperatures could drop to as low as 22 degrees in some places. The cold will kill crops and other vegetation, and could damage some unprotected outdoor plumbing.
It’s expected to warm up later in the day.
