PAWTUCKET, R.I. (AP) - The pedestrian struck and killed while walking on Interstate 95 in Pawtucket last weekend has been identified as a Cranston man, Rhode Island State Police said Tuesday.

Saykor Doman, 45, was struck on the northbound side of the highway at about noon on Sunday, police said.

Troopers responded to the area of Exit 27 in response to reports of a male walking in the northbound travel lanes, police said. Troopers were assisted by members of the Pawtucket police and fire departments and preliminary investigation revealed that the pedestrian was struck by oncoming traffic. He was pronounced dead at the scene.



The crash remains under investigation.
