LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - A Lincoln man died in an early-morning crash Friday in west Lincoln, police said.

The crash happened just after 3 a.m. Friday at North 27th and Vine streets, when a car driven by Ronald White, 52, crashed into a utility pole, then an outdoor sports store, police said. White was declared dead at the scene, the Lincoln Journal Star reported.

White worked as the assistant food manager on East Campus at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Police said he was the lone occupant of the car and was not wearing a seat belt.

Police said the building, which houses the Moose’s Tooth, sustained minimal damage. An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
