NEW YORK (AP) - Four women were killed in a New York City apartment fire Tuesday night, the authorities said.
The police department said officers and firefighters responded around 7:25 p.m. to the fire in an apartment on the sixth floor of a building on the Grand Concourse in the Bronx.
Police say the victims were in neighboring apartments. They were pronounced dead at nearby Bronx Lebanon Medical Center.
The city’s fire marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
