COLCHESTER, Vt. (AP) - Vermont State Police say a motorist was killed in a crash on I-89 in Colchester.

Troopers say a pickup truck driven by 51-year-old Robert Jean, of Colchester, crashed into concrete traffic barriers in a construction zone late Saturday afternoon. The truck then skidded across several lanes before coming to a rest against the guardrail on the other side of the highway.

Troopers say Jean was pronounced dead at the scene.

The highway was closed for about four hours. Police say speed or impairment do not appear to be factors in the crash.
