Actress and conservative commentator Stacey Dash is claiming she acted in self-defense after she was arrested and charged Sunday with domestic battery following a physical altercation with her husband.

The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office said Ms. Dash pushed, slapped and scratched her husband Jeffrey Marty following a verbal argument at their home in New Port Richey, Florida.

Upon arriving at the home, deputies noticed “the victim sustained red scratch marks to his left upper arm from being pushed,” according to the arrest report obtained by local media.

The “Clueless” star and former Fox News contributor was taken into custody and held on $500 bail.

Ms. Dash’s manager told TMZ that Mr. Marty attacked his wife first and tried to choke her before she was able to fight back in self-defense.

TMZ reported, “The manager says Stacey is the one who called 911, and she was arrested because she didn’t have any marks on her, but her husband did.”
