GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) - Authorities say 60 children were on a school bus that was rear ended by a car Wednesday morning in South Carolina.
Greenville County School District spokeswoman Beth Brotherton says one student complained of shoulder pain and went home with parents after the wreck on state Highway 146 around 8:30 a.m. The rest were taken to their school, Beck Academy.
Police said the driver of the car was taken to the hospital. Photos from the scene posted on Twitter showed the car under the bus nearly to its steering wheel. The condition of the driver was not released.
Brotherton said in a statement nurses and counselors are at Beck Academy talking to the students and deciding with parents if they should continue to class.
