As a world leader, President Trump should use his impressive role to motivate North Korean leader Kim Jong-un to address the enduring issue of North Korea’s nuclear program (“South Korea presses Trump for softer U.S. approach to North Korea nuke talks,” Web, Sept. 23). Other world leaders ought to corroborate the Trump narrative by putting away any national interests which pose a threat to world peace.

In “Reverence for Life,” Albert Schweitzer advocates giving space in our foreign policies to make the world nuclear-free for the cause of humanity and other living entities. Let’s let the humanistic values disseminate and follow the intrinsic values of ethics in our acts, conduct and policies.
