EVERETT, Mass. (AP) - Firefighters say two women died in a house fire in Everett.

Everett Fire Chief Anthony Carli told WHDH-TV that firefighters were called to the three-story home late Sunday and found the two women on the second floor.

He says their identities are not currently being released publicly.

One firefighter suffered a minor knee injury.

The American Red Cross is helping six people who were displaced by the fire.

Carli says the home on Madison Avenue is likely a total loss.

The cause is under investigation.
