BOOTHBAY HARBOR, Maine (AP) - An aquarium on the Maine coast that is popular with students and school groups has reopened after a brief closure for maintenance work.
The Maine State Aquarium is located in West Boothbay Harbor and is run by the Maine Department of Marine Resources. It includes exhibits about fish and invertebrates that live in Maine environments.
The aquarium closed in August due to a maintenance problem that has since been addressed. It has reopened and is keeping normal business hours, though it closes for the season on Sept. 29. It reopens on Memorial Day weekend.
