BETHLEHEM, N.H. (AP) - New Hampshire State Police say driver inattention may have led to a crash involving a logging truck and two vehicles that killed one person in Bethlehem.
The crash happened on Route 116 on Monday afternoon, just north of the Littleton town line.
Police said a northbound SUV had stopped to make a left turn into a driveway. A northbound tractor trailer hauling logs didn’t stop in time and rear-ended the SUV, which was pushed into the oncoming lane and collided with a van.
Police said a passenger in the SUV, 77-year-old Ellen Morrow, of Bethlehem, died. The driver, 83-year-old Donald Morrow, was hospitalized for serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the van, Therese Chaloux, suffered apparent minor injuries. The driver of the tractor trailer wasn’t hurt.
