NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (AP) - The North Platte Airport Authority says a $5 million taxiway improvement project will take place next year.
Television station KNOP reports that the airport authority has approved a nearly 18% budget increase for their 2019-2020 fiscal year to help cover the cost of the project.
A federal airport improvement program grant will cover 90 percent of the cost.
The project is expected to break ground next spring.
The airport also plans to add an additional flight on Sundays to and from Denver. If approved next month, the change is expected to go into effect the last week in October.
