HOUSTON — This may prove to be the turning point of the game.

With the Houston Astros holding onto a 2-1 lead after three straight scoreless innings, Adam Eaton and Juan Soto helped the Washington Nationals break through and move back ahead.

With Houston starter Justin Verlander in the 80-pitch range early in the fifth inning, Eaton sent this slider into the seats in right field for his second homer of the World Series:

Two batters later, Juan Soto mashed this pitch 413 feet in the same direction — the 21-year-old’s third home run of the series.

Just like that, the Nationals were back in the lead in the win-or-go-home game, 3-2.

Soto carried his bat all the way to first base as a taunt — copying what Astros star Alex Bregman did after he homered in the first inning.

Even Texans defensive end and noted Astros supporter J.J. Watt praised Soto. Game recognize game.
