RENO, Nev. (AP) - A 25-year-old Reno man has been charged with attempted murder with a deadly weapon in a shooting outside a downtown casino over the weekend.
Reno police say Juan Carlos Hernandez also was charged with battery with a deadly weapon causing substantial bodily harm in connection with the shooting shortly before 2 a.m. Sunday near the Eldorado hotel-casino.
He was being held Monday in the Washoe County Jail on a $250,000 cash-only bond. It’s not clear if he has a lawyer or will be appointed one.
Police say the victim - whose name has not been released - suffered life-threatening injuries from multiple gunshot wounds.
Private security from a local business located Hernandez a short distance away and detained him until detectives took him into custody.
