DURHAM, N.C. (AP) - A 6-year-old boy and his mother have been killed in a car crash in North Carolina.

The Raleigh News & Observer reported that the mother and son died Saturday in Durham. The State Highway Patrol Identified the victims as 6-year-old Nicholas Abraham and 41-year-old Julie Abraham.

Police said the vehicle failed to yield the right of way and was then hit by another vehicle. The Highway Patrol said that the man driving the car was Julie’s husband and Nicholas’ father.



Police said a pregnant passenger in the other car was taken to a hospital.
