Albuquerque firefighters find dead body of a man in home

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - Police in Albuquerque say a man has been found dead inside a back garage of a home that burned.

City firefighters pulled the body out Tuesday afternoon.

Fire officials say it’s unclear how the man died and the cause of the fire also is unknown.

The name of the middle-aged man hasn’t been released.

The Albuquerque Journal reports that firefighters responded to the blaze about 3:30 a.m. and found the back garage filled with smoke and flames.

City police will be investigating the incident along with Albuquerque Fire Rescue.
