KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Authorities say a Tennessee woman accused of setting her apartment building ablaze has been charged with aggravated arson.

News outlets report an arrest warrant says a witness saw 46-year-old Christina Maria Waldman spread lighter fluid around her residence at Country Club Apartments in Knoxville on Tuesday evening and then light it. Waldman was arrested outside the building.

Rural Metro Fire spokesman Jeff Bagwell said about 70 residents were forced out of the building and the Red Cross is assisting the residents with temporary housing. No injuries were reported.

Waldman was taken to a hospital for evaluation and then booked into the Knox County Detention Facility.

It wasn’t immediately clear whether she has an attorney.
