CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (AP) - A Massachusetts police officer has been injured in the accidental discharge of his own gun.

Jeremy Warnick, a spokesman for Cambridge police, said the officer was injured outside police headquarters just after noon on Thursday.

The officer was treated at the hospital for a leg injury and was said to be in good condition.



The accidental discharge was under investigation.

The officer’s name was not made public.
