HAVERHILL, Mass. (AP) - A New Hampshire family is mourning the loss of a man killed in a construction accident in Massachusetts.

WCVB-TV reports the family of Dennis Robertson confirms he’s the worker who fell to his death while working on a bridge over the Merrimack River on Wednesday.

They say 44-year-old Manchester, New Hampshire resident was a father of four and a seasoned construction worker.

Robertson and another worker fell about 50 feet from the bucket of a lift truck onto a barge below. The other worker was flown to the hospital with serious injuries.

The two were working on the $110 million Interstate 495 bridge reconstruction project in Haverhill.

Officials say it’s not clear if mechanical or operator error was a factor. The federal the Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating.
