HIGHGATE, Vt. (AP) - A sawmill has been destroyed by fire in Highgate, Vermont.

WCAX-TV reports that no one was injured in the fire on Monday night.

Authorities say the owner was asleep when he heard something, went outside, and saw the barn on fire.

Firefighters tell the television station that the sawmill used to be a horse training facility.

The structure is a total loss.

Investigators have not determined what caused the fire.
