GLASTONBURY, Conn. (AP) - Police say a fire that killed a man in Connecticut was an accident.

Officials say 59-year-old Francesco Bertuglia died in a fire at his Glastonbury apartment Friday night. The state medical examiner’s office says Bertuglia died of smoke inhalation and thermal injuries.

Firefighters found Bertuglia’s body when they entered the home to extinguish the flames.



No one else was injured. Residents of five apartments were displaced.

The cause of the fire has not been released.
