DANVERS, Mass. (AP) - A culinary arts teacher at a Massachusetts high school charged with sexually assaulting a student has been released on $5,000 bail with GPS monitoring.
Police say 62-year-old Robert Vandenbulcke was arrested Wednesday after a 16-year-old male student accused him of inappropriate touching.
The student said his teacher touched him twice as they worked together in the kitchen at Essex North Shore Agricultural & Technical High School in Danvers the morning of Nov. 12.
The student and his parents reported the incident to police later that day.
A not guilty plea to a charge of indecent assault and battery was entered on behalf of the Salisbury resident at his arraignment Thursday.
Neither the teacher nor his attorney commented outside of court.
