GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) - Glendale Elementary School District officials say classes were canceled at three schools because of weather-related power outages.

They say Bicentennial South School, William C. Jack Elementary School, and Don Mensendick School were affected by Wednesday’s storms that produced heavy rain at times in the Phoenix metro area.

District officials say it was in contact with its utility provider, but workers have been unable to find the cause of the problem.

They say Wednesday was a scheduled early release day.
