EASLEY, S.C. (AP) - A motorcyclist who collided with two deer has died a day after the accident.
WYFF-TV reports South Caroling Highway Patrol troopers said Tuesday’s accident resulted in one of two traffic deaths this week involving deer.
Pickens County Coroner Kandy Kelley says 23-year-old Harold Hammond Jr., of Easley, died Wednesday evening of a head injury.
Troopers say Hammond was heading west on Lathem Road just after 3 a.m. when he struck the animals and was thrown from the 1995 Suzuki motorcycle he was driving. Troopers say he was not wearing a helmet.
On Friday, authorities say a man was killed in Anderson when his truck collided with a deer.
