The Washington Nationals celebrated their first World Series title in franchise history Saturday, with thousands of fans cheering them on as they cruised up Constitution and Pennsylvania Avenues. 

The parade didn’t start until 2 p.m., but fans arrived hours earlier to make sure they had a perfect view. Players and coaches were divided among multiple buses. 

Chants of “Let’s go Nats!” broke out throughout the afternoon and fans tossed beers to players as the buses slowly drove by. 



The Nationals won the World Series on Wednesday with a 6-2 Game 7 victory over the Houston Astros, bringing a Series title to the District for the first time in 95 years.
