HYDE PARK, Vt. (AP) - A Craftsbury, Vermont, woman has pleaded guilty to causing a head-on collision that claimed a woman’s life.

Shelley Stevenson, who was accused of being impaired, pleaded guilty Friday to gross negligent operation that resulted in a fatality.

WCAX-TV reports that her sentencing will be in February.

Killed in the crash in November 2017 in Johnson was Eileen O’Brien, operator of the other car. Her family members were in court on Friday.

Officials say a blood test indicated Stevenson had taken an anti-anxiety medication and medication used for the treatment of opioid addiction.
