SUITLAND, Md. (AP) - Police in Maryland say a pedestrian has died from injuries he suffered in a recent car crash.

The Prince George’s County Police Department said in a news release that 66-year-old Franklin Timmons died Monday of injuries he suffered when he was hit while crossing the road in Suitland. He was hit in late October.

Patrol officers found him with critical injuries late on the night of Oct. 31 in a commercial area.

Police say he was struck as he attempted to cross a busy street outside of the crosswalk.

The driver remained on scene and wasn’t injured.
