Northern New England gas prices at or below national average

CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - Gas prices are dropping slightly in Vermont, but they still remain higher than the prices in New Hampshire or Maine.

The latest GasBuddy surveys show that the average price of gas in New Hampshire held steady at $2.45 per gallon last week. In Maine, the $2.54 per gallon average also was unchanged from last week, while in Vermont, the average price dropped to $2.61.

Vermont’s price matches the national average.
