PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - Medical examiners have identified a body discovered in waters off a Providence park as a missing high school student.

Police say the Rhode Island Medical Examiner’s Office identified the body as 17-year-old Cameron Chun, a Central High School student missing since Feb. 21.

Police say they don’t believe foul play was involved, but they’re awaiting additional information from the medical examiner.

The Providence Journal reports that city schools spokeswoman Laura Hart says the community is heartbroken, and extended condolences to Chun’s family and friends.

First responders found Chun in the Providence River off Collier Point Park on Saturday, after someone reported seeing a body in the water.

Police and firefighters searched the river for about two hours.

Cranston police, Rhode Island State Police and the FBI helped investigate.
