DAVISVILLE, W.Va. (AP) - Fire officials say a juvenile is in custody in connection with a blaze that left two people dead at a West Virginia home.

Chief Deputy Jason Baltic of the West Virginia Fire Marshal’s Office told the Parkersburg News and Sentinel that fire crews responded to the call early Sunday at a home in Davisville and found three people trapped inside.

A statement from the fire marshal’s office says two adults taken to the hospital later died, and a juvenile was taken to the hospital in serious condition due to smoke inhalation.

The fire marshal’s office says the fire was intentionally set and a female juvenile at the scene who wasn’t injured was taken into custody.

The statement says the investigation is ongoing, and charges will be determined later.
