MTV says its “Are You the One?” dating show will soon make U.S. television history: the cast all identify as “sexually fluid.”
The network that brought viewers “Liquid Television” in the 1990s is now betting on “sexually fluid” Americans to win over viewers. “Are You The One?” begins its eighth season this summer with sixteen singles hoping to find their “perfect match.”
“All the participants this season identify as sexually fluid, meaning there are no gender limitations when it comes to their PM. Finding love is fair game — so come one, come all,” MTV News reported Thursday.
The show will also include Dr. Frankie, a relationship expert who specializes in working with the LGBTQ+ community.
The winning contestants end up splitting a $1 million prize.
Season eight’s premiere airs June 26 at 9 p.m. EDT.
