NEW YORK (AP) - Police say a 52-year-old man has been fatally struck by a U.S. Postal Service truck in Brooklyn.
The Police Department says Charles McClean was hit by a mail truck as he was crossing a street in the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood at about 5 p.m. Friday. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The driver remained on the scene and has not been charged with a crime.
The death happened the day after a 3-year-old boy was fatally struck by a commercial van in Brooklyn’s Bath Beach section.
