TEMPLE, Pa. (AP) - A smoky fire at a mushroom house in Pennsylvania is under control.
The blaze at Gaspari Farms in Berks County was reported around 11 a.m. Tuesday. At one point, firefighters were ordered out of the building as part of the roof collapsed.
Mushroom houses are dark, moist sheds full of stacked planting beds where mushrooms grow.
The farm is owned by Giorgio Fresh, a Temple, Pennsylvania-based company that is one of the largest mushroom growers in the U.S.
They grow an assortment of mushrooms, including white, baby bella, shitake and oyster.
