Motorcyclist killed in crash, was speeding away from officer

COLCHESTER, Vt. (AP) - Police in Vermont say a motorcyclist was killed in a crash after speeding away from a police officer.

WCAX-TV reports the motorcyclist ran a red light Monday morning and hit a car that was turning onto an Exit on-ramp of Interstate 89. The crash happened near the Colchester-Winooski town line.

The motorcyclist’s name wasn’t released. Police said he had a suspended license and faced an arrest warrant.

The car driver was not injured.
