ROSS, N.D. (AP) - The North Dakota Highway Patrol says a head-on crash in Mountrail County has killed a California man.

The patrol says the 40-year-old Los Angeles man was a passenger in a Nissan SUV that was headed the wrong way on Highway 2 between Stanley and Ross shortly before 2 a.m. Monday. The passenger and the driver were thrown from the vehicle when it struck a Dodge SUV head on.

The driver of the Nissan and two people in the Dodge were injured.
