PEMBROKE, N.H. (AP) - Officials say three firefighters in Pembroke had to be taken to the hospital for heat exhaustion after battling a house fire.

WMUR-TV reports that the fire was reported after 3 p.m. on Saturday.

When firefighters arrived, they encountered heavy flames.



Authorities have not said yet what caused the fire. The deputy fire chief said the home is likely a total loss.

The temperature reached about 75 degrees Saturday afternoon.
