CHICAGO (AP) - An investigation into the shooting at an off-duty Chicago police officer’s vehicle in April of last year has led to the arrest of a man suspected of pulling the trigger and another suspected of supplying the gun that was used. .

In a news release, police say they arrested Chicago residents Andrew Gauna and Luis Ramos and booked them into the Cook County Jail.

Police say the 30-year-old Gauna became angry because the off-duty officer’s car was blocking an alley and allegedly fired several shots at the officer’s car. The officer wasn’t injured.



Gauna is charged with felony aggravated discharge of a firearm. The 32-year-old Ramos was arrested on felony gun charges because he allegedly supplied the gun to Gauna, who’s not legally allowed to own a firearm.
