HANCOCK, Maine (AP) - State police in Maine say a man died in his hometown of Hancock following a two-car crash in the Down East community.

Police say 93-year-old Joseph Ryan died shortly after arrival at a hospital after the Sunday afternoon crash. They say the two occupants of the other car were also taken to the hospital for injuries that were not life-threatening.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.



The crash closed a section of Route 1 in Hancock for more than two hours after it was reported Sunday.
