TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say a woman has been arrested in connection with the death of a pedestrian in Tucson.

Pima County Sheriff’s officials say 25-year-old Daniela Shelby is jailed on suspicion of manslaughter, aggravated driving under the influence and failure to remain at the scene of a collision causing death.

The department received several calls Wednesday night about a man standing in traffic.

By the time deputies got there, they found the man on the ground with obvious signs of getting hit by a vehicle.

He was declared dead at the scene. His name hasn’t been released yet.

Authorities say the suspect’s abandoned vehicle was located about a mile (1.6 kilometers) away.

Shelby was later located and arrested.

Sheriff’s officials say it appears the pedestrian was hit by more than one vehicle.
